With a tough game 7 loss to the Pacers today the Knicks have been eliminated. Here's how their offseason is shaping up.

Outlook

The Knicks had a crazy amount of injuries this season with OG, Brunson, Robinson, Randle, Hart, and Bogdanovic all dealing with injuries at some point. The debate about Thibs regular season coaching style will likely come up again given the numerous injuries. Whether it's actually a problem or not, the front office doesn't seem concerned as it seems he will be getting offered an extension.

New York will have the 24th, 25th, and 38th pick in the draft this year and still have all their own first round picks through 2030. They have a solid amount of assets to use if they want to make a trade but the main attention for the offseason will be making sure they retain OG since he has a player option and will likely be looking for near max money. Though they seem likely to keep him given they can match since they got bird rights by trading for him. Given the number of injuries and still making it to game 7 of the semis the team will likely run it back without any major changes and see how far they can get with a healthy team.

@vodkasolution @TrippyFocus Yeah, proud of this team for taking the series this far, even with all the injuries. Next year should be good.

Yeah the Knicks have a lot to be optimistic about for the future. Even just getting healthy will be a big improvement next year and they have a lot of assets to make a move should they feel one is necessary.

Outside of the Celtics the only teams in the East around the same level are the Bucks who didn’t look consistent and are getting old, and the Pacers who still seem like they have more growing to do.
