Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a way to search the wefwef community for the answer (second question is therefore "how do I search alfor a term inside a community?!")

This is necessary so one can use the app one handed. Very important for wanking.

I followed a few communities on here that are similar to ones from Reddit. A couple of them have a bot that's non-stop posting stuff from Reddit. The bot is from a different federation than the one I'm on and I can't figure out how to block them.

Can anyone help?

I don't want to keep accidentally clicking on posts that end to taking me to Reddit.

I use Safari on my MacBook and keybindings are not working - space for page down, left arrow for back, etc. I'm hoping this is on the roadmap somewhere.

I would prefer that upvotes be colored Orange and downvotes in blue. So it matches other clients and how Reddit does it.

But overall this app is kick-ass! Fast and responsive.

Sometimes when I click a post in wefwef then click the back link at the top to go back to the feed, it is stuck like it is at the bottom of the feed and no longer scrolls. If I slightly left or right swipe a post the scroll then returns to normal. Anyone else getting this?

I click it and nothing seems to happen... where do I view saved posts anyways? Is this just a feature under development?

Quite surprised this doesn’t work by default as wefwef is a web app, but it would be great if tapping at the top of the screen would automatically take you back to the top of the list currently being displayed.

I didn’t realise how often I used that feature in Apollo until I started using wefwef (which feels like home from home, except when it doesn’t 😂). Apollo had the added bonus of tapping again to take you back to where you were in the list before you tapped to go to the top!

Not a priority, but definitely a nice to have in my book.

I know probably not the perfect place to post this but want to get the discussion started and don’t know enough to be scared or not: because of the decentralization of Lemmy, is it extremely vulnerable to malicious/ad bots, astroturfing, spam and such?

I really appreciate this app, and I’d like to donate if there’s a way to. Either way thanks for everything you’ve done and are doing.

I’ve been trying wefwef, Mlem and Memmy. I have subscribed to many communities from other instances, and a lot of them are still “subscription pending”, strangely wefwef is the only app that shows these communities and not just the ones that are no longer pending. A feature I’d love to see implemented would be haptics when sliding to upvote/downvote etc.

What do you appreciate most about wefwef, and what are you looking forward to that isn’t already implemented?

When I scroll through posts I only want to see post titles. If I'm interested in the title I will click to see the post/image

Active and hot or even new comments as these currently stand become stale real quick, hopefully, there will be a new api for the devs to use.

Lemmy 0.18 broke direct connection to the Lemmy API from web clients with a very strange merge request two weeks ago. I have no idea what the motive was for this to be merged. Suffice it to say, it's been the source of a ton of headache today. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/3191

It’s not working at all for me. I have three separate apps for Lenny. Wefwef is the only one that isn’t connecting at all.

Three posts, across the fediverse, point to exactly the same link, with the same post text.

I would just love it if wefwef could collapse these into one (“Seen in 3 communities”) and then collapse the comments into one mega-thread.

If I pull down on the card UI for entering a comment, Wefwef switches back to the browse interface and my comment seems to be lost. Is the text recoverable? How do I get it back?

How to hide posts which have been read.

I am coming from jerboa app and this feels wonderful. However I am unable to mark the posts as Read.

App should I dim the colour of posts which have been Read. Even better if it gives an option to hide them so that same post is not repeated.

Just did an update to 8.2 I think and it's saying problem loading post. I closed and reopened same issue. Any ideas?

Is there a way to block some instances locally? Occasionally I see German language content from foreign instances (lemmy.de) as an example. Seeing as how I don’t speak German, would prefer to block the whole instance as it’s not relevant to me.
