Macabre's first release always felt more thrash than death or grind to me.

A bit of background: every October I have a playlist of "Spooky" metal that I like to play, yknow, Halloween 'n' all. I'm always on the lookout for more to add, and I thought this could be a good discussion/opportunity to share some good music! What subgenre do you think Goatwhore as a whole fits into? I believe it is mostly thrash: blackened death thrash?

Dutch thrash from their first album Malleus Maleficarum.
Became more death metal with the second album, and more prog from their third. First two are my favs.
