I was always kinda bad at TFT but i understood what i was doing and what made me win. I could get a weird comp and still build around it and somehow manage to win.

Now it feels like very random, no matter what i try to build if i dont hit certain core items or champs in a comp i just lose, and losing has gotten a lot quicker now.

Like if you play Kata carry she just jumps sometimes on the backline and sometimes one shots carrys, but another time with the same setup she gets ignored never jumps to the backline and i lose.

With shurima hitting 7 is pretty essential but getting nasus/ksante is really hard and even if you get it you are destroyed sometimes

Void is insane too sometimes. Sometimes baron is so strong you easily win fights but sometimes it doesnt do anything.

My point is that i dont have a feeling anymore on why and when i lose/win and it all seems random

First I wanted to say thanks for creating this community. I stopped visiting the "other site" just before the blackouts as my part in the protest, and I don't expect to return. It's great to know that someone has already started the TFT group, and I hope to see some good discussion here soon.

As for my TFT impressions, I'm loving the new set, even though I'm not doing too great yet (mostly due to not putting any time into it). I find that I don't have much time any more for my gaming obsession, so I try when I can and still enjoy taking 4th or 5th. Setting up Shen as Bastion/Juggernaut was fun, I can't wait to try to find more mitigation combos.

submitted 2 years ago by bilgin7 to c/teamfighttactics

RUNETERRA REFORGED COSMETICS:

  • 4 new maps based on mashed-up Runeterra regions, available in the Pass+ for 1295 RP.
  • 2 new Little Legends: Potion Sprite (free with the Pass) and Tower Defense Runespirit (Pass+ exclusive).
  • Shrine of the First Lands, a new Mythic Arena that honors your victories with falling swords, available as Star Content via Treasure Realms.

CHIBI TEEMO AND LITTLE DEVIL TEEMO:

  • 2 new Tacticians based on Teemo, the Swift Scout.
  • Chibi Teemo can be bought from the shop for 1900 RP and comes with his signature Boom, Noxious Trap.
  • Little Devil Teemo can be found as Star Content in Treasure Realms and has a scary finisher.

PORO:

  • A new cosmetic that is neither a Little Legend nor a Chibi.
  • The base variant can be bought from the shop for 2500 RP and has a special interaction with the Poros on the Howling Abyss.
  • The other variants can be obtained from Treasure Realms or different regions of Runeterra. They include Red-Nosed Poro, Po’Ro, Forgefire Poro, and Valiant Poro.

RAPTORS AND KHAT’SAI:

  • 2 new Little Legends inspired by the jungle monsters of League of Legends.
  • Raptors are cute and goofy creatures that come in 5 variants: Raptors (base), Extra Spicy Raptors (Rare), Shuriman Raptors (Rare), Tucan Raptors (Epic), and Koi Raptors (Epic). The rare variants can be bought from the shop for 750 RP and the epic variants for 925 RP.
  • Khat’Sai is a Void kitten that comes in 5 variants: Khat’Sai (base), Kraken Khat’Sai (Rare), Sugarcone Khat’Sai (Rare), Petricite Khat’Sai (Epic), and Cosmic Khat’Sai (Epic). The rare variants can be bought from the shop for 750 RP and the epic variants for 925 RP.

RANKED REWARDS AND MORE!:

  • Players who placed Gold or higher in Glitched Out!! will get an emote to represent their rank. Players who placed Gold or higher at any stage of the set will get the Victorious Flutterbug Little Legend. Players who placed Gold or higher in both halves of the set will get the Triumphant Flutterbug Little Legend.
  • Players who obtained Double Up Gold or higher will get emotes to celebrate with their partners. Players who finished Green, Blue, Purple, or Hyper tier in Hyper Roll will get another emote to flex with.
  • There will also be a Birthday Surprise Fuwa available via a mission later in the patch.
  • The new ranked season will start with patch 13.12 and players will start anywhere from Iron II to Bronze IV depending on their previous rank. They will also get 5 provisional matches after the reset.

SYSTEMS:

  • Region Portals are a new mechanic that allows players to vote for one of three Portals that alter the game’s rules. There are 30 Portals in total and the voting is random but weighted by the votes.
  • Legends are another new mechanic that allows players to choose one of 15 unique Legends that represent different playstyles. Legends will influence the leftmost of the three Augment offerings and have different power levels depending on the stage.
  • Econ changes include lower XP costs, higher base player damage in Stage 4, and lower gold/XP Augment power. These changes are meant to balance the increased econ from new Region Portals and Augments and make Legendary units more rare and impactful.
  • URF Overtime buff is an existing system that has been adjusted to give more Attack Speed, AP, reduced CC duration, healing/shielding reduction, and increased affection towards marine mammals. This buff is meant to give Melee and AD carries more power in the late game.
  • Champion pool changes are another existing system that has been tweaked to decrease the number of each champion in the pool. This change is meant to make it harder for multiple players to build similar teams and encourage more diversity and adaptation.

UI CHANGES:

  • The Inspect Panel is a new feature that allows players to see detailed information about any champion, such as their ability, recommended positioning, range, current items, item role tags, stats, and a quick sell button. This feature is especially useful for beginners and works for Emblems as well.
  • The Trait Panel is an improved feature that allows players to see the traits of individual champions in a trait. This feature is helpful for players who are not familiar with the new set’s champions and synergies.
  • The Tooltip Symbols are another improved feature that shows symbols to annotate scaling in champion abilities and items. These symbols are also color coded to indicate the type of scaling. This feature is useful for players who want to optimize their builds and understand the math behind the game.

LARGE CHANGES:

  • Augments are mostly refreshed with 240 new ones and 36 returning ones. The existing ones are mostly nerfed to account for the increased econ and power in the new set. Built Different is also nerfed with Health and AS reductions.
  • Items are also changed with Cursed Blade being removed and Sparring Gloves and its combinations being added. Deathcap, Chain Vest, and Guardbreaker are also adjusted in their stats and effects.
  • API policy is updated to restrict 3rd party sites from sharing data on Legend win rates and Augment win rates at each stage. This change is aimed at encouraging more experimentation and diversity in the game and preventing players from relying on statistics to make decisions.
