I’m on my 3rd play though and just hit the aurora. It was so much fun zapping them. I might head back to the island and clear the damn thing.

I know it’s just straight up wild speculation at this point but I’m craving a screenshot real bad.

If you look at that site, time capsules are coming in every few minutes. Unknown Worlds manually approves them, and it's a slow process. But I figure more people upvoting them can't hurt. Plus you get to view some beautiful screenshots and messages. Most time capsules just sit there and get zero upvotes. So be the change you want to see in the world!

According to Unknown Worlds community manager a few months back (pretty sure it was @[email protected]), the following items are banned from time capsules:

  • PowerCell
  • Battery
  • Propulsion Cannon
  • Hatching Enzymes
  • Enzyme Cure Ball
  • ALL Seamoth upgrades
  • The following Prawn Suit Upgrades: Depth 1 & 2, Jump Jet, Drill Arm, Grapple Arm, Thermal Reactor
  • The following Cyclops Upgrades: Depth 3, Thermal Reactor, Fire Suppression, Shield
  • Sea Crown Seed
  • ALL of the alien tablets
  • Ion PowerCell
  • Ion Battery (can be smuggled inside tools but not placed individually)
  • Kyanite

Also note that no time capsules showing dead creatures get approved.

(I know all this info is pinned on the Subnautica subreddit, but I figured it's good to have it here too since not all Lemmy users are on Reddit. Sorry if I'm stepping on any toes!)

I've been playing the original again and it's the first time since the big backwards update from Below Zero, and for the most part I'm appreciating the improvements. But I'm wondering if anyone has noticed any weirdness with progression now? It's hard for me to tell since playing it after you know everything is so much different, but it really feels like they piled on too many blueprints right around when you get the all purpose circular room. Suddenly I have all these rooms and glass options on top of the normal game progression, and it sort of feels...dirty? Like I got end game content too soon? It's like there's barely anything to unlock anymore and I haven't even made it to the lost river. I think I wish they put a little more thought into the timing of dropping.tvose blueprints, or maybe even hiding them in the game world.

Is there anything you've noticed different in the game that you like playing after the update? That you didn't like? It does run smoother in general so that's nice, way less popping!

Thanks for reading ✌️

I'm emulating through yuzu on steam deck on the 2.0 patch. After traversing some different zones I encounter a save bug.. The red dialog box shown above which says error saving, save failed.

I've figured out if I quit and drop into desktop mode and delete the CellsCache files I can load back in and play for a while longer until it happens again. Upon reading online there appears to be various save bugs across the platforms.

Has anyone experienced this or know of a permanent fix. I realize I'm emulating the switch here but the folder structure is the same as PC. Ive heard that the saves are actually compatible between the 2 , though I've not tried

Thank you fellow gamer for the useful items you sent me in the time capsule. Sadly I don't speak the language after the "P.S.", could anyone translate?

Would've posted the picture here, but I keep getting an error.

I found the Kharaa antidote in the pengling cave, and I got the voice lines confirming it, but it never unlocked the blueprint for it and I can't craft it. Is there a way around this, or am I missing something else?

I didn't want to look up spoilers, but I couldn't find the injectable vessel after I found the vaccine itself, so I looked it up and it said it unlocks after you find the antidote in the cave and you have to craft it.
