Has anyone tried these this year? How is the quality compare to 2023 18yr? I had found 2022 18yr very disappointing.

With the drastic price increase, I have pause dropping $400 on a bottle that was $250.

I have been a scotch drinker for many years. My cabinet has ranged from 1 bottle to 30. Today, I would like to talk about Toki by Santory Distillery. This wiskey has a flavor profile somewhat like a lightly peated Dalwhinnie. There is a strong whiskey bite on the front end and a tail of vanilla and licorice.

It has become a standard in my cabinet. I have had less success with some of its cheaper Santory brothers, but maybe there is something magical waiting in those pricier bottles...

It's just like Ardbeg 10, only cheaper. I definitely prefer it over the Wee Beastie. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I think this is very probably distilled by Ardbeg.

Bandaids, campfire smoke, Tums. A very compact and focused flavour. Exactly what I want and no distractions.

Enjoying the full sherry cask on this one. I had a bottle of the 15 year a while back but this seems just as good, for less money

Didn't see a community for Scotch whisky enthusiasts and figured I'd just get going.
