I took this shot back in 2021

I was recently going back through my older folders of pictures to sort them a bit better than they were before and I noticed this was still in my "import" folder. Woops.

Here's a link to the Deviant Art page where I shared it.

I'll be sharing more pictures as I sort through that mess of folders on my NAS.

I have a Fujifilm camera and decent lens that can do 600mm FF equiv is not cheap. I'm wondering what is the best option for bird photography at that range? There are some tiny 1/2.3 compact cameras like the Sony hx99 that doesn't seem too good. There also seem to be an option of picking up a m43 camera with a 300mm (600mm equivalent) lens. What is everyone's favorite options?

A macro shot of a wee flower hanging on a livingroom plant. I was very impressed by those shapes and lines.

As the title says, I found a recurring smudge in my photos when I was editing this one. You can see the smudge in the middle of the photo.

At first I thought it was on the outside of the lens, so I cleaned it off. Still there.

I ran the "clean image sensor" program on the camera. Still there.

So I detached the lens from my camera body and when looking through it with the aperture wide open, I could see the particle that was causing the smudges.

I then took a photo of a white wall with the flash on at the widest aperture setting I could (f/36) which I will be posting at the bottom of this post body. There the middle smudge and a smaller smudge in the lower left can be seen.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this? I can see there are 3 screws at the camera side of the lens that I might be able to unscrew, but I have no idea what's inside or how complex it would be to pick apart. It wouldn't surprise me if I just introduced more dirt by opening it up.

The smudge is very visible at any aperture setting greater than about f/6.

I appreciate any feedback.

I took this on a hike I went on in 2021 to a place called Muddy Meadows. It was a beautiful hike near Mt Adams but it was a little early in the season and I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos. Also the altitude at this point in the hike was high enough that I was feeling pretty winded even just sitting there.

Personally I dig this weird little fella

It's an old Soviet 16mm film projector lens adapted to a different vintage lens's helicoid then adapted to Micro 4/3.

It's a 50mm f/1.2 lens and it takes some weird photos. It's not perfect (especially if the area is well lit) but it takes some interesting photos with a little practice.

Edit: And being a lens made for 16mm film it takes pictures just like a normal micro 4/3 50mm lens would.
