Holosun IRIS update (www.youtube.com)
submitted 3 months ago by N1ghtstalk3r to c/nightvision

To all my fellow NVG enthusiasts looking for a new civilian power/legal LAM… it looks like we could be seeing the Holosun IRIS make its debut by the end of this month.

During Hops 200k subscriber stream, Holosun Josh chipped in around the 2:18:00-2:21:00 mark to provide a quick update on the IRIS.

Apparently, the delays have been due to the FDA and their regulatory processes. But that should hopefully be finalized and finished this month. Here’s hoping my B&H preorder ships sometime after release!

Is anyone looking forward to this LAM or have you already preordered one?

Laserspeed M6TR (lemmy.world)

Laserspeed is another international company putting out affordable and useful (AKA: full power) LAMs. If you haven’t heard of the LS-M6 then don’t worry, let me introduce you to the LS-M6TR.

The LS-M6TR is a crane plug compatible version of the previous M6. It’s lighter, more compact, and stronger variant that should be releasing for sale soon.

Between this and the other options from Somogear, I think Laserspeed has some of the more attractive economy FP LAMs out there.

Anyone currently using the LS-M6?

Wait til they hear about fusion devices. Thermal and Nightvision, best of both worlds.

What do y’all think?

These have been out for a while now. I’m curious how they would compare to buying a set of contract tubes on the 2nd hand market.

Anyone have a set or any experience with them?

NV Setups (self.nightvision)

I figured I’d open us off with my personal setup.

Helmet setup is below:

  1. TW Exfil Ballistic 3.0
  2. Comtac V Single DL
  3. Inforce WML Gen2 IR
  4. Agilite TW Cover + Battery Pouch
  5. G24 Lite Breakaway Mount

This bucket holds my Nocturne Industries Tanto w/my L3 WP unfilmed tube, 2500+ FOM. Looking to get my second tube at some point to bridge them.

Anyone else rocking some nightvision? Post your NV setups below! (Feel free to include pics too!)
