Was proud of how this worked out! Felt incredibly lucky they didn't notice me at first

I’ve always liked the heretic waves in Reach firefight, I think a skull that gave covenant enemies human weapons, or even went a step further and also gave humans covenant weapons, would be a blast.

Mostly community remakes of Halo classics here. The write-ups leave a lot to be desired, though. Looks like you'll have to try for yourself in order to find out whether or not the gate works on the new High Ground.

Husky History

First introduced to Halo matchmaking in Halo 4, Husky Raid quickly became a fan favorite. The concept was simple: there’s a narrow corridor, everyone has random weapons and limited cover, and you’ve got to get the enemy’s flag. The chaotic and fervent push to get to the opposite side to merely pull the flag proved to be half the battle… followed by the fight back down the corridor of doom and the push to bring the flag home to score.

In short, it’s CTF with the intensity and chaos turned up to eleven—weapons are random, attrition is high, and the battle for the flags is fierce.

Husky Raid returned in Halo 5 with a plethora of incredible community-made maps and a slew of REQ weapon variants to make the corridors go boom, which solidified its place as one of the all-time great Halo modes—something that, much like Infection in Halo 2, was born from the sheer creative might of the community. And now, Husky Raid has made its way to Halo Infinite.

I dropped Halo Infinite a while ago because I didn't feel like there was enough to keep myself engaded, and the monetization just bothers me whenever I see it, but I tired it out again for Infection and ended up sticking around this time.

I still don't like certain aspects of the game, like the moniatiation or the fact that there are just alot of precision weapons that all do the BR's job but worse in most situations, but overall I feel like Infinite has shaped up quite well these days. Having custom games, especially with infection, really helps bring about diversity in gameplay that Infintie was sorely missing at around launch.

One aspect I like if the cutscenes for the multiplayer seasons, Dihn is just a cool character and really makes the Spartan IV's feel alot more cool then before, even if we aren't going to get new cutscenes or the fact that the game makes it hard for players to naturally discover these cutscenes. And Iratus is just a fun antagonist.

What's you're thoughts on Halo Infinte so far?

Favorite Books? (self.halo)

Hi!

I just finished Outcasts yesterday, it was very good. Lots of solid characters Kinda made me sad at the end one part (not gonna spoil anything).

My favorite Halo book is probably Broken Circle by John Shirley, I love the story of the Ussans. It's pretty cool how we get to see the perspective of Covenant characters and there are some pretty savage moments. After that, probably Oblivion and Outcasts. Denning is pretty consistently good. My favorite alien race are the sangheili obviously. XD

What's everyone else's top picks?

I made some communities for each of the major Halo games. Feel free to join and cross post here if it is related to one of these titles.

Back in ‘57, we had the quantum marker—or the MX-1050. Cool piece of ONI tech that we got to play with in some sims before they had the Infinity jump back to Requiem; used it to transport crates from the ship down to research bases. They wanted to drop and gain a foothold in enemy-occupied territory quick and hard, but then we start fighting these Forerunner robots that can zip around the place and suddenly we got a bunch of eggheads workin’ overtime to repurpose the tech to put it on actual people...

I dunno what kinda magic tricks they managed to pull, but the damn thing works! Heard ‘em talkin’ about puttin’ this “Quantum Translocator” on Spartans in the field. Ain’t worked up the courage yet to volunteer for further trials, not since ol’ Haverly was gone for three hours during a test run and came back all pale and shakin’ and refused to say a word about what happened. Tried to calm him down but he just wouldn’t stop crying.

Come to think of it, haven’t seen him in a while...

Alongside today's #HaloInfinite playlist refresh at 11am PT, the team deployed a backend update with the following map improvements:

  • Weapon spawns on Catalyst have been adjusted and, as a result, it has been re-added to the Ranked Arena matchmaking playlist.

  • Plasma Grenades will no longer become stuck in the Gravity Lift on Solitude.

  • Weapons dropped in the Elevator area on the map Empyrean can now be picked up consistently.

Additionally, the team has made the following changes to the playlist system:

  • Playlist descriptions and names have been adjusted to better reflect their included maps and modes.

  • The order of the playlists on the Multiplayer menu has also been adjusted to provide a more consistent layout week-to-week.

  • Squad Battle is now a staple playlist, meaning it will not be removed from matchmaking.

  • There are now five rotational playlists every week, one for each of the following categories: Big Team Battle, Arena, Ranked, Doubles, and Free-For-All.

If you're currently playing, relaunch to see the changes in-game. Submit a ticket at aka.ms/HaloSupport if you're still experiencing any of these issues after relaunching.
