Commander Julian Bennett, who wrote the force’s drug strategy, offered his resignation when he was accused of using the substance

As you guys can tell, this community is dead (again). I haven't really done a good job of moderating because my ability to come up with post ideas fizzled out pretty quickly, and life circumstances made me totally neglect this community. I'd like to stop moderating it, so if anyone else is willing please tell. If people even want a community for drugs, you should also voice your opinion.

Say you've got two poles, soberness and being blasted.

Your being blasted is predicated upon the amount of THC still being processed within your body. As that amount decreases, so too does the intensity of the high and you slowly pivot from it towards soberness as your body processes more and more. And vice versa with more hits. The quantity of the THC directly correlates with the quality of the buzz - they are linked, and enough of a quantitative change of the THC in your body produces a new qualitative state of being, high or sober.

Mostly a joke post. When I used to hang out with a bunch of stoners I tried to explain Marxism to them occasionally using simple terms and I just thought of this as a funny teaching device I ought to have whipped out around the smoking circle.

Hey! This is the first monthly general discussion post for the Drugs community.

You can use it as a place to share any anecdotes, questions or ideas you have that you don't want to make a whole post for. Sorry for creating it this late, I was too busy with life stuff.

Would you comrades say you've had a net positive or net negative relationship with drugs?

Personally, I'd say it's nuanced and mixed. For example, psychedelics have given me some wonderful insight into beauty, gratitude for the world around me, and being open to newer ideas whilst alcohol has caused me to cancel out on work multiple times because of me overdoing it and my inability to stop when alone.

Psychs: Positive

Alcohol: Negative

Ketamine has given me wonderful insights into myself as well along with lasting anti-depressant effects comparable to no other drug, but also is very damaging over long term use and can create a reliance on it. Overall I'd say positive

DMT: Can't say, haven't "broken through"

Weed: Indifferent. Fun and relatively harmless depending on method of ingestion but can cause lack of motivation (at least in me)..

DXM: Mixture of alcohol and psychedelics. It fucks me up good and feels great while also giving me some psychedelic like experiences but is pretty bad for you and dangerous when combined with the wrong shit.

Benadryl: NEGATIVE NEGATIVE NEGATIVE

EDIT: WILL RESPOND WHEN I GET THE CHANCE IM NOT IGNORING YOU ALL THERES JUST A LOT TO READ AND WRITE AND I AM BUSY RIGHT NOW

I LOVE YOU GUYS

I see other communities doing this but because this one isn't very active a weekly one may be too much.

Tryna finish a mountainload of online course training I have for my job. Instead I didn't feel shit and procrastinated playing League like I usually do. Are amphetamines shit or do people usually take more? Feel like I was scammed lol.

Note: sorry if using SWIM is cringe. I don't usually post about drug use and I don't know proper decorum. This post is also not meant to propagate or encourage drug use, and is meant for educational purposes.

I'll start with myself (Egypt).

  • Caffeine: nearly everyone drinks tea or coffee at least once a day if not more despite neither of them being grown here.

  • Tobacco: Smoked in cigarette form or flavored tobacco using a hookah. The percentage of smokers here is very high, there's more smokers than there isn't. Even if you don't smoke there's enough second hand smoke from everyone else lol.

  • Alcohol: legal but its use is somewhat stigmatized because of a majority Muslim population. However I regularly see broken bottles of alcoholic drinks along the sidewalks so a lot of people are probably hiding their drinking habits.

  • Hash/hashish: I don't think it's exactly legal but it's very normalized among a lot of people. Some stigma because any form of inebration is considered bad by religious people but not nearly as stigmatized as alcohol.

Very curious to hear about other countries.

For those of you who have tried them, what was your experience and what do you think of it?

Do you think they should be legalized?

A lot of people are advocating for this for some reason, so what do you think?

In light of this recent discussion, I was looking for more and found this community that's been inactive for a long time. If you're interested in its revival please reply.
