Huge transformation, well done. I am not sure, though, whether I like these thick shiny varnish covers, yet they surely help to preserve the piece of art.

I like this old tech. So easy to fix, and, as long as you can find or make parts for it, they can live for a long time. I don't think that any of my multimeters will live that long.
