TL;DR: Updates to weapon loot pools mid-season

Trials:

• The Prophet Scout Rifle (NEW)

  • Looks like a lever action as it has the Tex Mechanica trait.

  • Coming back with the Cassoid Wild Card trait

Iron Banner:

  • This thing used to be nasty. Immortal kind of ate its lunch though.

Nightfall:

  • Vortex Frame Stasis Sword
  • First Vortex Frame Stasis sword. Will have Cold Steel perk.

Release Schedule (includes all adept versions):

Free Bright Dust:

• 700 BD a week starting March 5th till TFS releases
• That's 9100 Bright Dust by my calculations (13 weeks)

Armor Synth Reset:

• Happens on March 5th like it would when a Season starts.

• Visit Mara Sov for a weekly quest with a high risk objective in the Dreaming City such as Legend Lost Sectors or Dungeons
• On completion return to Mara to receive a Wish Token
• Exchange tokens for rewards from one of 3 Categories:
• Red-Border Last Wish Weapons
• Exotic from the Lightfall Year
• Rewards that include the FoTL Black Memento, Dawning Momento, Ascendent Alloy/Shards, Exotic Cipher

Moments of Triumph:

• Starts Jan 30th
• 30 Challenges celebrating the past year
• Rewards:
  • 5 challenges: Access to purchase the 2023 MoT T shirt
  • 14 challenges: Laurel Ghost Shell
  • 21 challenges: Fire Gilt Sparrow
  • MMXXIII Seal and Ability to purchase the Seal Pin.

Community Challenge:

• Kill 7,777,777 enemies with Swords to unlock a new emblem for everyone
• Seems inspired by the Witcher crossover but is not Witcher themed...

FoTL Armor Vote:

• Hunters and Warlocks picked Evil Wizard.
• Titans picked Good Wizard

===Thoughts===

Activity wise this ain't moving the needle for me personally. Going back and doing activities in the Dreaming City has already received a lot of backlash with the Seasonal Story forcing us to do Blind Well, kind of surprised they're doubling down on it.

Also, going back to do activities that are supposed to celebrate and remind me of one of the worst years in Destiny history doesn't sit right with me.

The rewards are pretty good I guess. Making the Event Momentos available again is a good call. I only was able to get one of each because I didn't farm my face off. Last Wish weapons kind of seem like a miss for anyone who's not a casual player. They're stupid easy to farm when it's the featured raid on Kali. Exotics as a reward are good considering how hard it is to get good rolls.

Far too many attempts but I got it.

Solar Warlock w Sunbracers ALH+CC Riptide, S4A+Incandescent Epochal Integration, Xenophage for everything till the final boss. Then I swapped Xenophage for Recon+B&S Apex Predator, and brought Sunshot.

On to the next one!

TL;DR:

• Riven's Wishes and Moments of Triumph start Jan 30.
  • Riven's Wishes are weekly pursuits that player complete to get to pick from a pool of prizes.
  • Moments of Triumph have 30 challenges with in game rewards and unlocks to purchase real items from the bungie store.

• Glimmer cap increases to 500,000 on Jan 30
• Character Customizer coming before TFS. No more ugly guardians! (my helmet will stay on).
  • You cannot change your Guardian's race. (Exo, Human, Awoken.)

So now that the seasonal content is finished. What now until july?

Previously only available for silver I believe. It's the one that's gold with the flowing purple stuff on it.

Dead Orbit wants humanity to colonize the stars instead of hiding under a broken god.

Future War Cult is always trying to research weapons that they can use to have an advantage in war which according to them is the only constant.

New Monarchy.. idk something about royalty and wearing fancy clothes?

I have been getting back into Destiny 1 and found it quite enjoyable going back to where it all started.
