DDI is providing their service for free between 7pm-2am on NYE.

For those unfamiliar, DDI (Designated Driver Inc.) brings two people. One person drives your car for you so you have it at home the next day.

Just be aware they're extremely busy on NYE during the free service. Expect a few hours of delay when ordering.

Call or text 661-431-3854

This was the first school building to be built on the current site of Bakersfield High School. Kern County Union High School, as it was then known, moved classes to this building in 1895. The building was later known as the Commercial Building after other buildings were added to the campus. The building was torn down in 1936 and Elm Grove was established in its place.

Explore the California High Speed Rail route from above in an airplane to not only see how construction is coming along, but also to observe all of the terrain standing in the way of finishing one of the largest engineering projects in the world. Starting in downtown Los Angeles, we fly 270 miles north along the route through the Mojave desert and Central Valley.

I called to confirm the times at both locations and just had lunch there. It was delicious! Great prices too.

In the event of a power crisis, Geotes will be able to power all 300,000 homes for 42 days in Bakersfield. Premier resource management is converting A depleted oil field into geothermal power production.

What was once an oil and gas reservoir is now being converted into geologic thermal energy storage. This project is to store thermal energy within the oil reservoir using concentrated solar powered by parabolic troughs.

I just found Jeje's Mediterranean Kitchen in a gas station (Rosedale Hwy. at Gibson St.) and it looks really good. Has anyone tried it yet? It just opened recently.

Edit: typo

TL;DR: they're finally going to build the connector ramps for the eastbound to northbound connection and the southbound to westbound connection.

Construction starts Nov. 2024 with an expected completion date of June 2026.
