This review and testing compares the new AMD RX 7600 XT graphics card vs. the RX 7600, especially looking at the impact of video card VRAM on our gaming test suite. Benchmarks include our new GPU power efficiency testing, which shows where most of the 7600 XT's performance uplift came from (in scenarios where VRAM didn't matter) as well as a refreshed look at Baldur's Gate 3. We're still adding cards for BG3, so we also compared some old and new data between the patches. The RX 7600 XT's closest competition comes largely from the RX 6700 XT, the RX 6650 XT, the RTX 4060, and the RTX 4060 Ti. Intel's Arc A750 also manages some relevance, although still has some of the same caveats as we've previously talked about (despite significant improvements). We'll talk about whether the RX 7600 XT is worth it in this review.

I never really cared much about Threadripper, since I don't really have a use case for them, but I would like to know what's the general opinion about this release.

Hello all. I recently upgraded to an all AMD build, and loving it so far. Off topic, I went with a 7800x3d paired with a 7900XTX and it is a blast. However, I have a quick question regarding the Relive/adrenaline software. For some reason, when I have "Record Desktop" enabled, I cannot do instant replay or instant gif in-game. I tested toggling the desktop option off and then I was able to instant gif/replay in game. The game was running full screen. Is this intended or am I missing something? I'd like to keep that option toggled on in case I want to record something for a friend without having to go back and forth toggling that on and off.

Thank you for any advice!

Hi,

I just recently upgraded to a 7800X3D and a Asus B650e-i board (latest bios, 1637) and as soon as I enable 6000MT/s on my memory I get stutters and turning it back to auto doesn't help, I have to clear cmos to get it working normally again.

Managed to borrow another memory kit (also 6000MT/s) and cpu from a friend and the memory kit didn't help but changing to the 7950x worked, no stutters.

This is in Linux and TPM is disabled.

Any ideas ?

I just got a Ryzen 7 7700 to upgrade from the Ryzen 1700 I've had since it was released. I ordered a Corsair H115I Elite Capellix XT for the 7700. I wanted to use that old 1700 for my girlfriends computer but the cooler that's on it is terrible. Basically, I'm just wondering if I can use the stock cooler( Wraith Prism) that comes with the Ryzen 7 7700 on the Ryzen 1700.

AMD has begun to enable its next-generation Family 1Ah, or Family 26 processors, presumably based on the Zen 5 microarchitecture, in Linux. The patch submissions come in preparation for a commercial launch in the coming quarters, reports Phoronix. The initial patches reveal some of the first details about AMD's server CPUs based on the next-generation microarchitecture.
