The Diggers (San Francisco) were definitely members of the Beat Generation, which the mass-media ignore in their BS lists like 'Great Generation', 'Boomers' or 'Gen-X'. Burroughs was born in 1914, Huncke in 1915, Kerouac 1922, Ginsberg 1926. If it EVER ended, it lasted lasted WELL beyond the start of the so-called Boomers.
