We're working on improving the interactions for non logged in instances. Specifically trying to enable functionality that should be possible if you're on a different instance that is federated.

After adding your instance you can remove lemmy.world by long pressing it in the account settings

That will be low priority on the todo list. We're focusing on base functionality to get us to our 1.0 release for iOS and Android. Contributions are welcome though!

Basic notifications were added last release and more features are are already added for the next release. This is a good idea though
There is no tracking through this public API, unless you're already logged into Google but at the point you probably don't care about privacy

This is currently not possible. We'll see about supporting it. You can go darker with AMOLED, but I know some users want an in between.
More theming capability will come eventually but likely after official iOS/Android release
