They named the outlet "reason" not because libertarians honor or practice the concept, but more as a trophy; something they defeated.

The best part about this joke is that it's spoken, not written.

Why are you measuring yourself by the standards of a Hallmark movie?

If you think being successful and having sex with good looking people will make you happy, why is Beniffer getting divorced again? Does Elon Musk seem happy to you?

There is a concept in psychology called "adaptation" where over the long run, people maintain about the same level of satisfaction with their lives. Extraordinary fortunes like becoming paralyzed, or winning the lottery only effect this base-line of satisfaction temporarily.

A literate person takes grammar and spelling seriously - - - writers prefer clarity and creativity over conformity.

I'm sure when the NTSB completes it's investigation of the "door flying off" incident the first recommendation to improve the safety culture is to do a layoff and restructuring. Professional managers know this can really turn around a moral problem, the surveys prove it.

If I want to aggravate someone who's into Jung, I ask them about the "accusations". When they question "what accusations", I say "the accusations that he plagiarized much of his work from the ghosts in the many, many seances he attended".

It would be so funny if this shot down a Mig15.

Frankenstein's monster doesn't deserve any sympathy; he's pure evil. I know this contradicts the opinions of the characters in the book. He does suffer mightily and unfairly despite all efforts at kindness.

The problem is that his solution is to create another to suffer as he has. He even instructs the Doctor to make her hideous like him so that she'll have no choice but to be his companion. The doctor wonders if this will be enough to stop the "bride" from going rogue.

These are the only two times in the novel anyone considers that the "bride" might have motivation or pathos of her own.

He also refers to his potential bride as the "female" which, well ya know.

For those interested in this topic (and how it's the manosphere's favorite pseudoscience) Muncat brings the receipts.

A "list of videos to watch later" can quickly become a dreaded multiple hour homework assignment. My "favorites" list on the steaming service is a graveyard of movies I thought I wanted to watch.

It's risky to Summon women to DC. If there is the slightest break in the salt-circle the women will be able to attack without making a deal first.
