Yes, I agree with this. He needs to have a discussion with his wife about it and agree to a compromise whether that is he has to adjust his schedule for a day or tough it out with a little less sleep. The asshole move here would be to be unwilling to adjust at all to accommodate his wife and guests.

Looks like the comment timestamp is now just set to whatever the post is. Not sure if that’s an app bug or a lemmy bug.

It wasn’t actually a bell in the real test. It was the sound the latch on the fence gate made when he went to feed the dogs that triggered them.

Yeah I tried making a personal instance this weekend and the registration page is broken on it. Not sure how to fix it.

Your login only works on the instance you signed up for. It won’t work on other Lemmy instances, but you can still access any content across all the different lemmy sites by searching for it on the one you have an account for.

So far it’s just commenting and upvoting. The mobile interface isn’t the best tbh, but I’m hoping to dive into everything on desktop when I have time this weekend.

I’ve already not been on Reddit for two days. I think I’m fine just saying here and not going back.

When people link other instances in posts or comments, it should automatically be translated to view it on your own instance instead of having to take it and search for it.

Mine stays set between 68F and 72F year round, adjusting depending on if I’m hot or cold. My dad was always one to set the thermostat based on cost and I refuse to be that way.
