Hopefully easy to answer question. I'm tryna follow an account that's on Mastodon. Is this possible at this point. When I try to search for the account I get an error. Newbie to the fediverse. in c/[email protected]

@dozerforshort Maybe you can follow them by going to https://kbin.social/u/@user@instance for example
https://kbin.social/u/@[email protected]. So that you access that user through kbin.social. Not entirely sure where you will see their messages

Not entirely sure but I think the influx is happening not because of the API perse but for the direction Reddit took.

I might be terribly wrong!
