He was implementing regional pricing this morning and looks like that should be happening today and tomorrow. I think that's part of the reason so many people love Sync since the dev is ultra responsive.

Same here. I'm not installing the terrible official Reddit app and thankfully the hockey news season has mostly slowed down. It's really the only thing I miss from Reddit are Hockey/Red Wings community. I've been really happy with Lemmy's growth otherwise and the apps get better every day.

So ridiculous.

Pretty sure they just did return shows this year and are coming back.

Breakfast. I don't know why I like eggs, bacon, and hash browns so much but it feels like it's a part of my soul.

If I could give this comment an award, I would.

Experience So Far (self.lemmyconnect)

Downloaded from the promo thread and giving it a shot now.

There is a bug I'm experiencing in most threads where comment chains repeat over and over again.

If you're submitting a comment and it gets too big, your keyboard blocks the bottom text and you can't scroll up to see it. You have to close the keyboard to read and then type/review. Then if the comment gets too big the bottom of it just disappears and is inaccessible. I had to post this in Jerboa since I couldn't complete this large post.

You already mentioned swipe actions which is big for me. I was a big Joey user because of how customizable it was so perhaps a few other suggestions:

  • adjustable font size
  • moving the image to either side in list view
  • tap to upvote/downvote (in Joey it's 2 up and 3 down)
  • this is minor but I'd love for the comments to be separated just a little more personally. They run together a bit for me, though I see the threading
  • Is it possible when searching communities to show what instance it's on? Such as [email protected] etc?

Great work and hope this helps!

Hospice Nurses.

Just seconding this - it seems like it's just never enough for these companies or owners. It can be a solid, steadily growing thing and yet that expectation isn't high enough. Eventually it must always be ramped up to constant obnoxious extremes. Speaking to the author's point, there's just never enough. Every space must eventually be consumed by this awful mentality and worldview until what makes it worthwhile is eradicated. It just sucks.

Yes but I also feel like the general trend is upward right now. I've been excited to watch the kids play and see who's coming up next. So it's not all bad... But no, none of the kids are Datsyukian.

Same for me. It reminds me of what I used to love about the internet.

I also enjoy Datsyuk.

Agreed. I feel bad as someone who advocated for the adoption of this technology for many years only to see the shit show that it has become. It's terrible as it is and I think some of this return to smaller communities will humanize things a bit more and that definitely seems to be happening with what I've seen so far.

It may not be "prime time" but obviously the increased attention and user base will incentivize the tech and hosts to catch up quickly. From what people are saying, it has already been a dramatic change in the past few weeks.

I was thinking today that it's actually weirder that I stuck with Reddit for so long without really thinking about it when I was consistently switching platforms before. Google Reader, Fark, StumbleUpon, bulletin boards, various smaller blogs and stuff...

Now that I've made the switch it reminded me how nice it can be to find and explore new platforms and communities. Kinda wished I woke up a bit earlier to these possibilities.
