Very nice, and pretty catchy. I could imagine violin or harmony parts so readily. Just subscribed to your YouTube. Thanks for sharing your work!

Nice studio! Well done on the spacing so far. Things that helped me a lot in a smaller studio was utilizing the walls, and having dedicated spaces for everything. Our walls have hangers for some instruments, gig bags, and low hooks for frequently used cables. We also use an old dresser with drawer dividers to keep gear organized and away from dust. One bookcase for sheet music, set lists, with the top shelf for the metronome, and little bowls for picks. Every year there seems to be more gear and cables, so having a specific home for everything keeps it neat.

I'm lucky to get to see live music every week, small venues in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. But for daily listening it's mostly streaming these days, although I still have a lot of CDs. When I'm outside it's on headphones connected to the phone, a bit easier than the old walkman. No rewinding or tuning into a radio station needed.. but I miss making mixtapes. Playlists just aren't the same.

Hello all ~ we just joined and are glad to be here. If you are in the New York City area this weekend, here's a reminder/invite for the Porch Stomp Music Festival. This is unique, an all acoustic folk music festival, that takes place Saturday 6/17 11am-6pm on Governor's Island. No cover, family friendly, and all outdoors. There are open mics and jam sessions worked into the schedule, so musicians are encouraged to bring an instrument if they want to jam. Our band is playing Porch Stomp for the first time this year, and we are one of more than 200 acts on 20 stages~ this really takes over the whole island. You can ride the ferry from Manhattan or Brooklyn. This is one of the biggest gatherings for New York musicians, a very welcoming and inclusive show, and should be a great time. (the weather looks promising too.)
