There's a weird thing with bind mounts and permissions.

In my case, for my Ubuntu VM to have correct perms for 0:0 (root), the PID and GID in ProxMox's fstab need to be like 11000:10000 or something.

It's apparently working as intended that way, but it's weird.

I did an MA in Welsh and Celtic Studies at Aberystwyth.

I did a few courses involving Old Irish and Scottish Gaelic, and while I enjoyed them I definitely can not speak any lol

Ond, mae fy Nghymraeg ddim yn ofnadwy.

Nee-uv is correct. The 'i' carries the stress, as indicated by the accent, so the 'a' turns into an unstressed vowel /ə/.

To anyone else who has studied Irish, this is purposely a simplification.

I'm both a gamer and HP fan.

I thought the game was great, and I didn't really realize the depths of people's distaste for it, I guess.

Was it crazy revolutionary? No, but it was fun.

in a hospital in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

The city is called Jenin. The splinter grouped is named for the city. The cemetary is named for the city.

Man I got some friends who are archivists, and they'd love that shit lol.

They love their field, but it's a lot of mind-numbing work

Yup, I swear by hiking boots with Vibram soles, and have for over a decade.

Right now my TrueNAS is virtualized and I truly hate it. It's been a constant issue for me.

That said, I can't afford separate hardware atm. I will be able to soon, but not quite yet lol

That's the point that I tend to agree with actually.

I will absolutely defend the decision to show Luke in that state from a literary perspective. However, it sucks as a fan. It wasn't a great decision from a we are a media franchise with fans spanning 50 years.

he got so bad at self-control

That's literally the point though. Just like how the impentrable, saint-like Jedi Order failed to pay attention to the rot and carelessness in their own organization, so too did the last Jedi forget that he is not perfect, and he stopped working on himself.

I don't think this would solve your particular use case. However, SSHFS is absolutely amazing for remote smb share access.

I used it on my laptop to access my home NAS for years.
