iPhones are expensive. I just buy a Xiaomi phone with good components and crap software, unlock the bootloader, install good software (LineageOS). Does everything I need from a phone.

I got a few ideas:

• Let people make their own multi-communities, then publish them. The multis would get a separate category in search.

• Let community moderators decide to join a list. For example:

1. community@a and community@b exist.
2. mod@a starts multi-community@a
3. mod@b requests for community@b to join that multi
4. mod@a accepts
5. multi-community@a is now a shared feed of both communities.

Streamable is good imo.

I think that Discord's way worse. Not only it centralizes information, but also presents it in a unreadable way, and hides it from Google.

On Discord I never got a question answered. It just gets added to the list, then gets pushed out after a few seconds and it's gone. It's really bad. Imagine telling someone 10 years ago that most of discussion online would happen in private Skype group chats.

On Reddit there at least was a chance someone would answer your question after a few days.
