Reports are emerging saying that 200 were killed. I’ll update this comment as the situation progresses.

The only report I see that uses that number is from Emad Zaqout, the news director of Al-Aqsa TV, Hamas' official propaganda venue.

Do you have a source from a reputable news source such as AP?

The Israeli military said some Hamas militants fled in vehicles and ambulances toward Jenin’s Ibn Sina hospital, and that troops stopped one of the vehicles at the entrance to the hospital. It released video footage of soldiers searching a car at the hospital and finding M-16 rifles and ammunition.

Palestinian health officials said some hospital workers were ordered to exit the hospital, with a verified video showing them walking out of the building, holding up their hands. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society accused the IDF of detaining and searching ambulance crews.

Watching the videos, the car was just inside the gate for the hospital, and there was an ambulance immediately to the left of it. No video of the chase or the actual firefight, or of the medics being told to leave the building - only them walking out.

Crab Rangoon has neither crab nor does it have anything to do with Rangoon.

It's just cream cheese deepfried in a wonton wrapper.

Probably to hospitals in the southern Gaza strip. Not as safe as evacuating them to Ashkelon, but it's highly doubtful Israel will allow any Gazans to seek medical care inside Israel for a few years at least.

I haven't seen any image or video evidence of weapons yet. That will likely show up in a few days. The talking heads sometimes let things slip past the censors, and they've been hinting at something big. Not hostages big, but extremely clear evidence. They are saying that they've located tunnel entrances, including several that Hamas attempted to seal up and hide in the last few days.

centre of gravity

For those who are confused by what "Centre of gravity" means in this context:

Center of gravity (COG) is a military term that refers to the source of strength, balance, or stability necessary for a military force to maintain operation.

Less than 2mm of rain.

How much rain do they usually get that that counts as "heavy rain"?

Already located weapons and killed Hamas combatants in firefights inside the hospital grounds.

I suspect the main goal is to forcefully evacuate any remaining able bodied civilians and begin moving patients and medical staff south. Israeli reports already state that incubators were brought in.

This article does a horrible job of explaining it.

Russia-adjacent countries have a strong incentive to support Israel if they want to purchase missile defense systems. Finland signed a deal earlier this week. Many countries around the world use Israeli-made/designed military systems, and they don't want to jeopardize their continued access to those systems.

The other factor is non-public intelligence - tack this sentence before every IDF tweet: "We have shared intelligence with our allies and are making a tiny bit public:"

According to the M28 repair manual, it is incredibly important to remove debris from exhaust ports.

But as a F22, she should be more worried that her boyfriend is a plane and not a pilot.

Except it literally does justify attacking the hospital. Black on white, letter and spirit of the law.
