I feel the same way. In the end, this is the english language where the words are made up and none of the definitions matter.

I too will have to checkout TAN.

I can say from experience that power toys fancy zones is really cool and I recommend it but it doesn't move the windows back. Some programs also refuse to snap to them (voicemeter) or completly disregards the zones on startup(Spotify).

This is all based on a vague memory of a fever dream from years ago but.....

*In windows you have two options for window placment: keep windows on active screens or don't do anything. *You can move windows around with shift+win+arrow keys. *AutoIT and Auto Hotkey programs can identify individual windows. I would bet that they can also read if a monitor is on or off.

Write a script that check whether a monitor is on or off then move the identified windows. There are tons of tutorials for both AutoIT and Auto Hotkey out there and I'm sure someone has already implemented exactly what you are looking for.

You can adjust them independently because your monitor's width and height are different. Someone may want to be able to flick their mouse to the left and right edges of the monitor in the same time frame they can flick it to the top and bottom, or vice verse if the monitor is rotated. It's probably useful in fps or with ultrawide/span monitor setups.

You should not be tipping your landlord.

If they are personaly providing any other services to you, such as maintenance, you need to get those clearly itemized and paid separately from rent.

I agree, sand would be best to try first.

Clay watering is a little different, you'll need to use two layer pots where the outside pot is water tight and the inside pot has holes. Clear pot inserts work best. Before watering you'll have to check if the bottom is still wet and add water & food upto just below the roots. What you are aiming for is to add the exact amount of water the clay can obsorb.

I wonder if you can break up masquito dunks, aren't they the same chemical? I have not had success with ferns in clay but epiphytes and ficus seem to love it.

I've been mixing mosquito bits in the pot/soil with great success. I toss in a handful about every 6 months. When I repot, I mix in roughly 1/2 cup per 4 quarts soil medium. Make sure the top inch of soil has a chance to dry out between watering. Make sure you don't have water standing in your catch trays when watering. Switch out for aggregate clay or lava rock instead of a soil medium.
