I haven't built a PC in over 10 years so I may have gone a bit nuts with my specs. I figured if I was going to spend the money I wanted something that would last a while. I don't think NMS requires a beefy PC but it certainly looks and runs awesome. I started on the Switch and quickly decided that I wanted a better experience so, being a huge nerd, I went the DIY PC route. Teleports/warps take seconds instead of minutes, terrain and bases load before I land rather than having to exit my ship and stand there while the door appears on the base I just landed at. Overall, I highly recommend the beefy PC for NMS.

This! I still talk about this game and how it liked to mess with the player when the character would lose sanity. The bugs on the screen, the fake overheat errors... beautiful!
