After installing the game on Lutris or Heroic I can just add it to Steam and then launch the game directly from steam. In terms of UX I just need to press the play button, wait a little bit and then see the game main menu. Sometimes you see other launchers but there's a lot of games that have their own launcher before launching the game, Fallout 4? Nixxes ported games?

I don't know what anything else that you want. Even on Windows same shit still happens.

It's a pretty seamless experience nowadays. I installed CachyOS on my handheld and installing games outside of Steam is pretty seamless with Lutris and Heroic Launcher

I think in some aspects Bazzite are better than SteamOS. It literally started as an alternative to SteamOS for the Deck.

The thing that still amazes me about D4 is basically its optimization. In runs so damn smooth on my handheld it’s crazy. I can play helltide content on Torment with bazillion things going on at the same time and the FPS is rock solid at 60.

I'm luckily one of the "grandfathered" employees in my company meaning that I joined when the company is very small and got a very good contract compared to other new hires and they're currently making my life hell in hopes to make me resign from the company. Unfortunately the job market is still hell. So, I've just got to hold on until I got fired to get that severance pay to act as a buffer money for me to start freelancing.
