I would absolutely spend my credits on a robot dog mount for ground transport!

just to be clear...my in game credits, not any kind of real money.

True, watching other people use Excel is painful. I used to have a coworker that was so good at Excel that she didn't use a mouse at all and was way quicker than anyone else. She made me feel guilty whenever I was the one being watched because I knew she must be frustrated watching me do things with shortcuts and the mouse.

I think any company that lays off more than 10% of its workforce within a 2 year period should require all of its executives to resign without compensation. Clearly the failure was at the leadership level.

I'm not a fan of star wars, but I liked kotor 1 & 2. I'd probably play a kotor 3, but not a remake. I have no interest in anything tied in with the movies, make a new story with new characters, I don't care about luke or darth vader.

I love Excel! The best part of my job is where I get to use Excel. The worst parts are where I have to use power point or interact with other people. Sadly, most of time is spent on PPT and interacting these days. :(

I've been playing Starfield almost daily since release on Game Pass. I would much rather play on PC with mods, but its a super mediocre game and I'm not ready to pay anything close to full price for it when I can play on Game Pass. I really hope they release some better content for it over the next year or two and then sell me a complete edition on PC and I'll start again with mods to get rid of the BS if they haven't already done so in future patches.

I got stuck a few hours into it and quit trying. I really want to love this game and play it through multiple times, but it just doesn't make sense to me and I don't want to read any guides or spoilers. I want whatever path I take through the game to be my path, but it isn't working for me.

When I got my Steam Deck a few months ago, I spent the first week or so just modding Skyrim so I could play it on yet another device. Then I played it a ton until I finally took a break for some other games.

I miss Sacramento so much and wish I could move back, but I'm stuck in Georgia. I left about 10 years ago, so some of my recollections might be a little out of date.

The better school districts tend to be in the upper middle class suburbs that are generally more expensive, less diverse, and somewhat more right-leaning, at least by California standards. The areas that come to mind are Rocklin, Roseville, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Folsom, Loomis, El Dorado Hills. I grew up in Lincoln when it was semi-rural, but it has mostly been taken over by people moving out of the more expensive bay area and prices have gone way up. Davis is a major college town that might be more liberal.

If you are willing to make a longer drive, Auburn, Grass Valley, Colfax, Placerville, and various small towns in the foothills would likely suit your outdoor and hiking preferences.

There are some great areas in the core, like Land Park and East Sacramento, but they tend to be very expensive and in some cases there are really bad areas a few blocks away.

West Sacramento and Woodland both seemed nice to me, but I'm not that familiar with either. I lived in North Natomas for several years and really liked it, but you have to keep an eye on the school boundaries. Where I lived, my kids would have been sent to some unsafe middle and high schools in a neighboring area, even though the Natomas schools were closer. Also, my wife says the area has gotten worse since we left, but I don't know in what way.

Right now I'm putting most of my extra cash in TFLO, which is a short term treasury bill fund. It's a very safe fund for preserving capital with a current payout around 5%. I do also have some money in stocks, but right now I'm just taking advantage of the safe returns while deciding how I feel about the broader economy.

Yeah, I had a nice plant pot break this year and briefly looked into it and decided it wasn't for me, at least not for a $50 pot.

I don't have any experience with it, but you could try looking for info about kintsugi to see if that would work for your situation.
