they're really great. I usually describe them to people as tiny dogs. smart, empathetic and make strong bonds with their owners. word of caution though, they've got short lifespans, so maybe not for the feint of heart. I've kept rats for over six years now and I've had my share of losses but have determined that they're worth the pain.

I have to assume somebody's done a cost analysis on rto and determined that keeping their boots on our necks is more profitable in the long run than employees being happier and more productive.
