Summer sunrise once again, this time from Barnet Marine Park.

Hiking a very dry Menzies Trail in Golden Ears this morning, came across a few bunches of what I believe to be Buffaloberries. I like the leaf lines in this a lot.

Managed to get up early enough to catch a summer sunrise in North Van today. Always a struggle to get out the door by 4:30am in the summer.

Details of some of the many seemingly-petrified pinecones at Quercus Point near Squamish.

A tiny cluster of white flowers I found along the powerline near Hyannis Trail.

Caught some raspberries in the process of ripening this morning on a hike along Admiralty Point Trail in Belcarra.

Very cool - thanks for filling in the info gap!

ngl, this was my first thought when composing this shot

Finally got a shot of this odd door near Cleveland Dam in Capilano Canyon this morning. I'm not sure what it's for... presuming it's an emergency exit or something similar.

Thanks! So glad your eye caught that web as well. :-)

Exploring some trails on Mt. Fromme today. Streams were all really dry... hoping that this will be a good re-visit in the fall once things are wet again.

Playing with minimalism, limited light and macro shots early this morning.

Despite a serious lack of rain in the last while, I came across these forming mushrooms on a nurse log, covered in dew.

Found an interesting composition in the trees, rocks and water along the Whyte Lake trail this morning.

A small pinecone I came across on a morning hike through Woodhaven Swamp in Belcarra, BC.

Thank you very much! I did enhance the light I was given somewhat when converting it to B&W, but mostly it was good conditions, and some good luck (as I had to bail on this location quickly to avoid being eaten by mosquitoes lol).

Thanks very much! Glad you liked it as well.

Yeah, I honestly have no idea. It came up in a quick search for "blue berry red stem", but photos don't match. I struggle to identify plants sometimes.

Very cool! This spot can be great, but it's very dependent on weather conditions for me. Bright and sunny leads this to be somewhat boring, IMO.

Cheers! I hear ya on stopping to admire your surroundings. Too often on a hike I get the blinders on, and just push to the destination. The best stuff is usually on the trail.

Thanks very much! This was a focus stack taken on a Nikon Z6, using the 105mm macro via the FTZ adapter.
