@[email protected] Looking back on this, it's a little wild how this all transpired. #ESPN replaced #RachelNichols, a white woman who at the time was viewed as the if not one of the most notable and valuable #NBA reports and personalities, with #MariaTaylor, a black woman with less experience, after #NYT was prepping a piece about a lack of diversity at #ESPN. Nichols complained and got fired for it. Mary wept and wept and left for #NBCSports.
Years later, nobody cares.
@EmoIsDeadAndSoAmI @[email protected] "Get more precarious" is a bit of a stretch. But it should be noted that these highs are probably more indicative of optimism from businesses and investors in the ability of #Trump to improve the economy, not an indicator of the #USA's actual economic health. What goes up must come down, the people cheering now will be weeping when everything crashes, as it likely will.
@wintermute_oregon I was homeschooled, and read programming books instead. 🤷🏾♂️
If most people haven't read something, criticizing them for not reading that thing is snobbish. I don't care if it's a document that defines the laws of our country.
@wintermute_oregon @jimbolauski Most conservatives haven't read it either, myself included. Don't be snobbish.
@affiliate @kameecoding It's called an allegory, it can make what's being compared to easier to accept or understand
