I found this tutorial to be quite helpful and have used the reverse proxy stuff from here to also set up reverse proxy for immich and photoprism.

Took me a few tries though, especially getting the valid config AND SSL certificate in the correct order...

https://immich.app/
Best Google Photos Alternative I found so far.
The dev warns though
⚠️ The project is under very active development. Expect bugs and changes. Do not use it as the only way to store your photos and videos!
That's why I still also use Google Photos at the same time

It's certainly helpful when you want to try out something new.
For example I recently wanted to make a Firefox AddOn, which is something I hadn't done before.
So I asked OpenAI how to do it and it talked me through it step by step.

Basically it allowed me to google less, because I could just ask ChatGPT, as it was faster.
Some info is outdated or wrong, so you still have to know what you are doing and still have to use Google.

Also, I wanted it to help me get some data from the DOM, but that was a rather difficult job for OpenAI, it never "understood" what I wanted and just gave me code that didn't do what it was supposed to do, and even after explaining the problem with the code and telling it what I want, it wouldn't understand the problem and just give me other bad code that changed nothing about the problem.

So it's important to understand, that this is just one more source of information/help you have as a dev. It is not a standalone solution that can do your work for you. It merely can help you. The same way as googling, stackoverflow or reading the documentation helps you

I tend to disagree. Why would this acquisition by Microsoft be bad?
Are they actually a monopoly? If yes, what exactly do they have a monopoly on? Video games? PC Games? I would argue neither of them.
They are not the only provider of video games. Far from it. There is soooo much competition in the video game market.

What they should really tackle in my opinion are all the exclusivity agreements. Cause those really hurt consumers.
Want to watch the premier league? Better buy a Sky subscription for 30€/month. Oh, you are not happy with what you get? Well, don't watch the Premier League then. Go watch the Bundesliga, or the Austrian Bundesliga. Hmm what? Oh yes, they are also only on Sky, so if you want to watch Football at all, buy Sky or go to the high seas.
THAT is much worse than Microsoft just being a giant.

You could also tackle the exclusive licenses in video games. FIFA selling their licenses (nearly) exclusively to EA is a very big reason why EA FIFA got as big as it got.

TLDR: I don't mind monopolies as long as they don't abuse their market position.
