Don't underrate the amount of walking Europeans do compared to Americans. That casual exercise makes a huge difference. Europe is much more urban than the US and they generally walk a lot more than we do.

So? It's patently obvious that millions of people go hunting every year without turning into mass murderers. Pointing out logical fallacies isn't an argument.

Ubuntu resets my default audio every time I put it to sleep. I have no idea why, other distros didn't do this. Sometimes it fails to detect the speakers on my laptop completely.

I've found Ubuntu to need a lot less effort than other distros so I'm not planning to ditch it yet, but even Ubuntu still has weird quirks like this.

Also, some apps fail to open in x11 for some reason so I have to switch to a Wayland session every now and then. And then switch back to x11 because other apps won't open in Wayland.

Linux always has some weird usability issue no matter how many distros I've tried. It's getting a lot better but it's not there yet.

This is one of the worst rebuttals I've seen today because you aren't addressing the fact that the LLM has zero awareness of anything. It's not an intelligence and never will be without additional technologies built on top of it.

Producing word salad really isn't that impressive. At least the art LLMs are somewhat impressive.

LLMs can't produce anything without being prompted by a human. There's nothing intelligent about them. Imo it's an abuse of the word intelligence since they have exactly zero autonomy.

IME when you prompt an LLM to solve a new problem it usually just makes up a bunch of complete bullshit that sounds good but doesn't mean anything.

Why does she lose the title for having an affair? Especially when she didn't know the man was married?

Cable news wasn't affected by that though. That law applied to public broadcast news only. You just need to look back to something like the Spanish American War to see that American news has always been filled with blatant propaganda.

It's been acceptable for a lot longer than that.

[–] rambaroo 4 points 10 months ago

It's 24 hour propaganda. There's never a time when CNN isn't injecting their opinions and bias into a story.

Nah, it's actually much weirder and more unsettling. You can't tell if someone's looking at you when they wear sunglasses either. No one cares. I'd much rather deal with that than creepy inhuman eyes.
