Correct me if I am wrong but I think the lemmy Devs run the .ml instance and they have specifically said the do not want to be in control of a large general instance as they have enough on there plate just refining the code base. Lemmy.world is I believe run by someone with a track record running a successful masterdon server so it looks well placed for growth atm
Clearly a case of "can't see the wood for the trees" corking work there ๐๐
It might be reactionary at its inception , but if it brings us all back to the early day of the web I have no quarrel. Of course elements of reddits orign were not so bad . I am thinking of Aaron Swartz,of course.
Also useful ammo if you get attacked by the current anti lemmy stuff going around.
that is pretty conclusive
Yep, I think you might have highlighted a bug, Certain it is happening in firefox , and is not present on the android app.Have learnt to ignore it , almost always my comment has been added.
Edit yep immediately clicked on comments open new tab and my comment is here where as it is still spinning in the other tab. So probably a bug rather than overload.
That sounds very plausible
Realistic assessment but the way reddit's ceo is going ,I think we will see more exodus 1st july and again shortly after that, I do think reddits bad news train has only just left the station.
This, methinks we have a wondrous opportunity to develop something just better.
Read the thread if you have not , some really good ideas and recommendations here IMO
Luckily there are a large number of instances , and I hope that will also grow now the "place that shall not be named" exodus has begun, I think the greater numbers and variety will improve the gene pool so to speak I sort of hope that really large reddit subs might start there own instances.
I think you might be falling for some propaganda yourself๐
