I don't think just because there's more passing automatically means more crashes. If anything the faster cars would take it easy on the first lap (when most incidents occur) knowing they have the speed to overtake once all the craziness is over.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but there is a goddamn land war in Europe. Russia is an aggressive asshole and the whole world should be stomping on them until they stop being shitty neighbors. An investment in Ukraine is an investment in world stability and that is fucking priceless in my book.
