ahh nice, will definitely check this out!

one I found with a Bojack vibe is "tear along the dotted line" - it's a really short and bitter sweet show, enjoyed every minute of it!

yeah, I'm completely new to the genre and some of these blew my mind - binging it for couple of days now :D glad you like it ^^

A very handy document I found on SF6 discord.

Death of Bojack's father (self.bojack_horseman)

The whole story about how Butterscotch dies sounds a bit over the top to me (died in a gun duel by stumbling on a rock and hitting his head), which got me thinking that Beatrice could have invented this story to hide his real cause of death. What if instead of dying in an unlikely-sounding duel, he died by suicide?

I could find it believable that Beatrice would hide that from Bojack for some reason, can't put my finger on why I feel like that.

Are there any other points in the show that point more towards something like this? What are your thoughts?

i use obsidian-git plugin on desktop, and on mobile i have a Cron job set up through termux to commit my local changes and fetch any remote changes every 30 min

it works well except for the fact that git objects get corrupt from time to time, so i have another script to re-init the project and fix the corruption :(

there is now obsidian-git as a plugin for mobile as well, but it doesn't support submodules, so I'm stuck with this glued-together solution

I'm struggling with this right now, certificate-manager has a plugin for namecheap, but it works only when i whitelist my extremely dynamic IP address...

is it possible to change registrars for already existing domains? I'm guessing i could forward to other service's nameservers or something? how did you move to cloudflare?

but wouldn't it be strange for Netflix and Streamberry to have almost the same visual identity without any issues if they co-exist in the same universe?

Them being represented as so similar-yet-different (logo, starting animation and sound, user interface, i guess the only real difference is the name and the quantum computer lol) for me kind of plays into the idea of parallel universes even more.

Hello fellow BoJack enthusiasts and Lemmy community!

I am OneTrickPony, a long-time fan of BoJack Horseman and a recent convert to Lemmy from the Reddit universe. As one doesn't already exist, I've decided to create a Lemmy community where we can discuss our favorite horse from Horsing Around.

I hope to engage in insightful discussions, share theories, explore character arcs, and celebrate the profound moments the show has offered us.

I came into watching this show by pure accident (was seeing it on netflix from time to time but didn't take interest in it, a friend recommended me some other show, i confused it for BoJack Horseman and started watching it instead), and it was one of the best accidents that I experienced. I'm now re-watching the show for the second time after two years, and I'm enjoying it even more than I did the first time.

As we settle into our new online home here at Lemmy, I want to extend my support to all "Reddit refugees" making the transition. Here's to new beginnings and keeping the BoJack Horseman spirit alive and thriving in our new community!

the lack of sci-fi element really bugged me, and i think I found it after some thinking (not sci-fi related horror but still gave me the creeps when I realized it) check https://lemmy.world/post/329488

As most episodes have some sci-fi element to them, last night I was thinking what's the one in Loch Henry. Mention of Netflix kinda seemed out of place so that stuck with me as well, but then an idea dawned on me: what if mention of Netflix is the sci-fi element?

In the previous episode we already saw that Streamberry is capable of very advanced stuff (e.g. quantum computer generating layers upon layers of reality).

What if the show was originally actually launched on Netflix, or at least recorded in the universe where Netflix exists, but Streamberry doesn't? The last scene where we see show running on Streamberry would be the sci-fi element in this case, as we are shown that they stole a film from a parallel universe? Wouldn't it be convenient to have rick-and-morty style of interdimensional cable and just steal the shows you love, instead of going through the hassle of recording them yourself. As we saw in the previous episode, they are obviously very interested in not wasting time recording their shows.

WDYT?
