I would say read the text file before playing too.
I remember the levels of Doom 2. When I was a kid I always would idclev to downtown.
But I do like the green marble hell levels of doom.
Doom was my first game I ever played. The deathmatch in this games is really great. I still appreciate the modding scene that is still going on.
It is also the only game I have made levels for too.
I just recently started playing freedoom again. I'm impressed with the changes they made since 0.7 version.
