Sadly, since our country is governed by dinosaurs, the responsibility falls on us to help our friends and family avoid sketchy cameras that force the use of their cloud services.

The two things in the headline are not at all related. Car manufacturers just see an opportunity to dip into the data market to make even more money and an opportunity to sell subscriptions. None of that is about keeping people safe.
Or, perhaps it would be more cost effective to spend your money developing a way to access content that isn’t user-hostile. Then, suddenly, piracy wouldn’t be on the rise.
And still, I’m more likely to stop using YouTube than to stop using an ad blocker.
It’s almost as if banning books of any kind sets a bad precedent that is likely to be abused.

I went with a wordpress-like alternative called Ghost. I believe it’s open sourced as well and feels like a more modern, lighter version of Wordpress.
I like the general vibe of the admin portal, and it checks all the boxes for my needs. And it’s hosted from my homelab. So the only cost is a domain, aside from electricity of course.
I’ll believe it when he’s sentenced.

Or what about the foreign investors who are buying up land and homes with what seems to be zero oversight?
