The problem is not the government got to choose - in a functioning democracy, the government would represent the will of the people.

The problem is this democracy is fucked.

But... social credit literally is real... There are government legislations on this. It is not a conspiracy theory.

On the other hand Western media definitely has exaggerated and demonized it a lot. The social credit is basically your credit score, but it is more expansive and uses information some might see as encroaching on their personal privacy and freedoms.

Well whoever said CCP will censor LGBT content doesn't know much about the CCP.

On the other hand try posting anything critical about the Chinese government...

I think you are making a good argument, and I think we are getting a little bit into an edge case of faith here. So here's a scenario: say you met a priest that tells you "Oh I am not sure if God exists, not at all. I just assume God exists and behave accordingly because that benefits me. Since I will get into Heaven when I die if I do so."

Will you call this priest an atheist/agnostic? I don't think either answer is right or wrong, just curious where people draw the line.

You are not getting what I was saying, let me put it this way, how do you know this isn't just all a dream you will one day wake up from, and find out that the real real world is run by wizards and dragons?

I just found out minutes before I posted my comment someone added this information to the Wikipedia page lol.

Edit: huh, wait. Material History Review just says "Kussmaul (1876)", are we sure it was Adolf Kussmaul? He was a physician, not a chemist. And it doesn't reference any sources either... Was record keeping that bad back then?

But you do have to believe though. If you are just a brain in a jar, then all your empirical evidences are just illusions. At the very least you have to have faith that that's not the case.

EU too. It's E127 there.

Your comment prompted me to lookup when red 3 started to be used in food, but I couldn't find anything. Can't find who discovered it or when it was discovered either, weird. (There are claims but none with a credible source)
