I've always wanted to play a game in the same genre but there really weren't any others that I was aware of. Tarkov not being sold on steam, having an inadequate anti-cheat, and being in "beta" for seven years now was enough that I never wanted to support them.

Why would you care that's it's passive (pon: passive optical network)? As I understand it the limitations of passive vs active wouldn't have any impact on the end-user. It's not something I know a lot about, though.
