agreed, in winter conditions a bag makes a lot of sense

I’m in a similar situation in [email protected]. Getting people engaged is a bit like getting people to dance at a party, many people want to but someone has to break the ice… things I’ve tried is pinning a post asking people to stop by and say hi, also comment on each post so there’s something to latch onto, people won’t click in with 0 comments. You can also try a joke post to break the ice, in the case of SpacePorn you could combine a picture of a galaxy and a swimsuit model and say “Am I doing this right?!?” or something; it’s stupid but hopefully it makes someone laugh.
I really enjoy Eric's videos, they capture his enthusiasm for adventures through lesser-known spaces in the American West. While beautiful in parts I have to admit the ODT looks pretty rough.
That is awesome! So you carried 12 liters total? How was hiking in Death Valley? Which route was your friend taking? And how did your SOBO PCT thru go?
another good one! regarding mindset what was the hardest thing to overcome, or the thing you needed to hear, that helped you most?
that's a hell of a sidetrip! i have so many questions. how did you decide to do it? did you team up with anyone? did you cache water?
woof, was looking at the elevation profile on L2H (click the red line and click "Profile") and realized the first 14 miles from Badwater to Telescope Ridge in Death Valley NP are a deal breaker as I don’t reasonably think I can do 10k elevation gain in a day… did several thousand feet less on my biggest day on the PCT which I was in shape for and took a nap and I was still exhausted the next day. love the area and it feels… slightly uncomfortable to realize I’d be out of my league.
oh man i'm jealous. i'm doing the Uinta Highline first week of sept 🤞what's maroon bells like?
The clothing combination of a wind jacket, down vest and poncho is not something I've seen before.
great lighterpack! any upcoming trips planned?
it keeps your elbows off the ground. i've used this exact setup before and it works great.
I've heard good things about Gryphon. Where are you headed in Utah?
