As a parent of 4 kids I can safely say I would never leave them in a car in that heat. No matter the circumstances.

The nation's health is affecting the economy massively. Fixing the NHS will have massive benefits to the economy even if they don't intentionally set out to do that. It's also a good way to sell the reforms.

The Tories wanted to privatise sick notes instead of getting people the care they needed to avoid being off work.

More people working also means more tax income.

Yeah this isn't a tragic accident, like they so often are.

This is straight neglect.

I can't speak for the younger generation but as a millennial it's used as both for sure.

Greeting a friend with "hey slut" is fine. Saying that to a stranger would likely not be.

Absolutely not correct at all I'm afraid.

People seem to think we have the ability to control our kids to a huge degree.

Plenty of children with amazing, loving upbringings turn into garbage people. And some of the nicest most kind people I know were raised by abusive scum.

Plus teenage years are difficult for most kids as they find their place in the world and their friends have almost as much influence as parents at that time.

You also can't know what teenagers are doing all the time. Especially at school.

Furthermore some people seem to just be born assholes and it doesn't matter how you raise them.

I'm going to assume you don't have teenagers. They can change into a different person overnight once the hormones kick in.

They'd be going after them if they thought they could. I'm sure they'll find a reason eventually.

If a new one just pops up going after the previous one was indeed pointless.

Although the ultimate origin of the word slut is unknown, it first appeared in Middle English in 1402 as slutte (AHD), with the meaning of 'dirty, untidy, or slovenly woman'.

It's never been polite. Not sure what you mean.

Calling someone a derogatory term has never been acceptable in polite company. It doesn't really make sense.

Although the ultimate origin of the word slut is unknown, it first appeared in Middle English in 1402 as slutte (AHD), with the meaning of 'dirty, untidy, or slovenly woman'.

And slut has never had a positive meaning.
