Did you try anything new this summer? If so, what did you do, and would you recommend it to others?

A friend of mine brought me to this absolute whole in the wall called Maha's Kitchen in the back alley behind Taste of Seoul. You literally order from a hole in the wall, but the food is excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I had the biryani and the chicken tikka masala, and would recommend both! I would definitely go back.

None of the new homes will be available to be sold as investment properties and all will go to people who need a place to live, Habitat for Humanity CEO Philip Mills said.

"We would sell it [at] half price and all the rental units would be controlled by local not-for profits and community groups to ensure that not only is this a one time influx of 10,000 affordable units, but 10,000 affordable and attainable units in perpetuity in this community."

This is all so great to hear. I do wonder if these policies alone are enough to control the prices of these homes though. Low supply would still cause some amount of upward price pressure in the second hand market, no?

"We're looking to build missing middle homes around four to six storeys in height," Mills said during the press conference Thursday.

Anyone know any other projects in KWC that are looking to fill the "missing middle" gap?

I'm over the moon that electoral reform is something that hasn't been forgotten. Kitchener-Centre did us a great favour putting Mike Morrice in the house.

I don't not want this, but I recognize how little a factor this plays into my overall life satisfaction. Sure, it would be neat for people who consume alcohol to be able to buy it in convenience stores, but this policy, along with this government's pattern of prioritizing alcohol (1, 2, 3, 4) related policies is more than deeply concerning, when it's so painfully obvious we need to be improving our housing, healthcare, and education systems. We have more pressing areas that need addressing that affect more than just the people who drink, so it's honestly bewildering to see the conservatives focusing so much of their time on what amounts to only minor conveniences for people who consume alcohol, while the wallets of those Doug Ford is close with get major payouts.
