Ohh yeah definitely, so far on lemmy all my interactions have been positive. I guess it's the benefit of smaller communities, it's nice actually talking to people and comments not getting lost in all the noise.

If you enjoy the snapping between serious and comedy, I'd recommend Gintama if you've not watched it. It does an amazing job of mixing all the major genres
It's one of the best ongoing anime currently IMHO, history mixed with action and comedy will always attract me. To top it off theres some jojo vibes as well, the banya scene or the otter meat scene are true masterpieces.
I'm glad the first 2 episodes drop on today, because episode 1 piqued my interest but didn't fully grab me. I've been seeing a lot of comparisons to NGNL, COTE, and Kakegurui which I think are quite fair, but the MC still seems different enough to not be a copy and paste job
My friend, you bow to no one.
I was born Kamehameherp, and I will die Kamehameherp.
Yeah i get it, I've had to give up on a 10+ old account. Hopefully the more we engage with lemmy the bigger the community will get and attract more fans.
I 100% respect your stance. I do try and separate the artist from their art when possible, but everyone has their limits.
Hopefully, can't imagine they would bother doing it if its not going to be a full adaptation.
I just finished my rewatch in anticipation for this remake, so far it seems pretty good. I assume it's going to be more faithful to the manga.
The originals aesthetic will always appeal more to me, but there does appear to greater detail going into the earlier parts of the series i.e wounds.
I guess it depends on what you want to experience. There are merits to rewatching a series you really enjoyed knowing the outcome. You may pick up on themes/ideas you didn't notice the first time. There is the chance that altough the major plot points will be the same, how we get there may be different due to it being a more faithful adaptation.
