After spending more than a decade in the suburbs, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution wants to reestablish its workplace near the center of the city.

The AJC is eyeing upwards of 10,000 square feet of space in Intown Atlanta, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the matter, a search that has been ongoing for at least a year. Midtown is the likely target, sources say. Fun (related) fact: Atlanta's oldest surviving skyscraper, The "Flatiron Building (Atlanta)" was built in 1897. Five years before it's counterpart, The "Flatiron Building" which is the oldest surviving skyscraper in New York City. Both were the second skyscraper built in their respective cities.
