And so transportable! More games should come in bags.
Light: Bananagrams
Medium: Blood Rage
Heavy: Ark Nova
Most played: Has got to be Scrabble, my dad got us all into it as soon as we could spell and it's been a fixture of family gatherings.
GOAT: Disc World has been a family favorite with a great balance of strategy and chaos to balance players of very different levels.
Is American public opinion very pro-Israel? Certainly the political powers are, but the average citizen? (I'm not American, I genuinely don't know)
51st State? You mean Puerto Rico? Or DC?
Agreed. With Star Wars the longer you think about the sci-fi elements, the less sense they make. The force was great as just space magic, it didn't need midichlorians. Droids are another, are they sentient? Are they slaves? Why do they feel pain? Spaceships, hyperspace, distance... how did the Death Star get to Aldoran and Yavin? GAAAAAAH!
Space Opera is a good genre name. Let's stick with that.
Yup, that's exactly what I got plus double points for units getting Ragnarok'd and double quest points.
I got a second crack at Blood Rage after my gaming group introduced it last session. It's a favourite of Adhil's but the rest of us are new to it. I went from being lapped on the victory track to dominating despite winning no battles. Honestly I'm not sure how I stumbled onto a winning strategy which I'm a little embarrassed about. Simply a good synergy of Odin upgrades and the other players being too busy fighting to realise what I was up to on the sidelines.
We're going through Eric Lang's games at the moment but out of order. We played Ankh first (not a fan) and Rising Sun is up next.
There's also a free app that's very helpful for tracking the health/damage of the cards.
I think this article sums up the problem people have with him: https://www.garbageday.email/p/an-investment-in-future-virality
tldr... he spends money on stunts that are also charities, he makes money by doing it. It's a business strategy.
"There are much, much worse things you can do to go viral. But like every rich guy right now, Donaldson now also want us to thank him for it and tell him he’s a good person. But he’s just a guy who has spent a very long time figuring out exactly how much internet traffic costs. It just happens to also help people sometimes."
Does that make him a bad person? Not really. MrBeast is a character, who knows what that guy is like when the camera's off.
