This is more fun?

Hey! Somehow when I pasted the screenshot for this post, the link was lost. I added it as a comment.

Hmmm,... I had to Kagi search for Lutris. Looks cool. This here is a simple launcher app named Cartridges, all it does is launch games. In my case, Steam games. :)

A selection of the apps I use on a day-to-day, on my Ubuntu install. What are your favorites?

Personally, I prefer maximizing what revenue I can get in my working hours, make these hours not take all of my week, and use the time off to do creative and rewarding stuff (not start a side hustle). I know this wasn't what you were searching for, but for me money comes second.

I've used Ubuntu for a long while, it's just a first-class environment for development. So, good luck!

You'd be surprised, man. Of course you'd have to give up on some things, but it's trivial stuff compared to what you gain in return. I personally was always very turned off by the way Apple likes to lock down all their stuff to their own ecosystem. I like to own my data and have the freedom to tweak my environments and what runs on my hardware. I also realize this is a plus for many people, just giving their soul away to Apple.

Yeah, indeed the top bar is amiss, because this is my secondary screen. But like I say in the post, a did very few tweaks until I go this sexy look. Ubuntu's default looks and feels great ATM.

Why not? I feel we need the anti-post here. :)

I said "good riddance" to Apple and got a new Linux-first laptop, then proceeded to note down my first impressions.

Having used Ubuntu and Linux for 20 years, and having had a stint period with Apple, I decided to stick with Linux for good.

Did you know, though, that most of those platforms at rel="nofollow" to their links, effectively rendering them useless in terms of SEO? TIL.

Coo, cool. No other search engine / platforms web builders are using to flag their websites to the internets?

Whenever I launch a new web project I go to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to flag that the new website exists. The idea is to start getting SEO seniority / attention as early as possible.

Is there any other tool I should be registering my website in, or are these the major two?

In which I explain how a freelance gig was born out of a sincere friendship, and how the website went through idea, process, implementation and delivery.

I wrote a post detailing why I use meaning as the criterion for selecting my next web development project.
