Nice! Wish I could do the same but as noted, not everyone can afford to devote time for such awesome activities.

I have a terrible fear of snakes but I loved how cute this was. Which reminds me, I need to set a filter for snakes. Can I also filter out pictures of snakes in general (still new to lemmy/fediverse)?

I despise religion because it is indoctrination, but I am surprised and glad to see not all in Texas are jumping at the idea of crippling public education.

Shit, I’m angry for you. You come off as totally sensible and preaching facts to the choir.

Drives me mad how we have not thrown down greedy medical practices in favor of universal healthcare yet 🙄 but I guess that’s too close to the socialist sun 😒

Delta Chat might also be worth mentioning/adding. Haven’t used it extensively but the feature set is promising.

I feel like plebs who like the idea of privatizing the USPS (for the sake of “saving money” and therefore not having to pay for a service they “don’t need”) are the same folk who by definition of supporting the orange turd also like the idea of raising taxes for themselves and the majority of the US population to then give to the rich (but of course if they’re in the tax bracket where they make so much to get the tax break then fuck them).

It’s fine if they want to flaunt their brand of crazy but at least make it make sense.

Unpopular opinion comin in hot. I agree that it played out as it should have and that cops (the ones without a chip on their shoulders) are vital to it all. When it goes “as planned”, cops are there as much to arrest unlawful violators as they are there to protect lawful actions as well, such as peaceful protests (though this particular case was unlawfully disruptive). I love the message and the style of it all though and I think to get arrested in this manner is something I would brag about lol.

It’s great to see my state not being total pushovers and surrendering to current authoritarian/facist regime. Doesn’t change the fact that it’s a nearly all red state but still, gotta celebrate these small resistances!
