I'm guessing this is what happens when someone deletes their comment, but my brain keeps arguing that just yelling "DELETED!" at people is a thing now and I keep trying to figure out what it means.

I worked in accounting at an IT outsourcing firm. We had to have a telnet client installed on our computers so we could connect to the inventory management system. No idea what it actually ran on, but it was a text menu interface with ASCII borders that would turn into letters if your settings were wrong. Also incredibly slow. It always reminded me of dialing into a BBS when I was a kid.

I can't speak for OP but I think in general the idea that "landlords shouldn't exist" or whatever doesn't just stop at eliminating rentals. There is more than enough housing in the US to house everyone here (and probably the world? if not, there's enough resources to build housing for everyone), and it seems unjust to let people be homeless or exploit their need for shelter due to artificial scarcity.

I like to think that most of us could agree that everyone deserves the dignity of having shelter regardless of what luck life has dealt them, even if we can't immediately agree on how.

I think the key there was "water resistant", suggesting the substance is used in the additives to make it resist getting rinsed off.

Literally everything that exists with any iron or heavier element in it only exists because a star exploded.

I agree with the other commenter that you shouldn't, but I have done exactly what you described because I was super poor and desperately needed the cash.

I, too, choose this user's life.

I'm depreciating the land we stand on as we speak!

ITT: people admitting to violations of 18 USC 1030, which is a terrible law that is way too vague.

...what happened? I'd have to guess it immediately blew the fuse on the 110v circuit on the power supply and the computer shut off. I'd also guess that if you switched back to 220 it would still work? Unless the power supply divided the 220 in half and used the same 110v circuit...

I sometimes use it for "item", knowing full well its established meaning as index or iterator, because I'm a rebel.
