Thanks. You are very right. I find it hard to see her struggle (early stage Alzheimer's). But I think we all looked after her and she had a ball

I have been on leave in the last week, travelling with an old family member (a farewell tour of sorts - I don't think she will be doing more big trips). I am feeling very melancholy. So glad I have been able to help her, and sad to see someone so strong and independent getting old and frail.

Anyway this is your lil Wednesday reminder to say thanks to your body, no matter how much trouble it gives you. Getting old sucks arse

Yeah I now wake up every day between 5:30 and 6:30 pretty naturally. I reckon as long as you get up and do some basic wake up thing you can then go back to bed and not wreck the habit. I do that on weekends.

So I reported a profile on Facebook because it was using my name and my profile picture (and different personal details ripped from someone with my name but a higher public profile). I just got an email to say it's been reviewed and doesn't go against their guidelines.

The profile picture is literally me. From my old website. And it's my name. But that's not an issue?! WTAF?! Can I do anything about this?

Oh I 100% understand (both about the research-as-coping-mechanism) and fear around discussions. You can only try (and understand it might take a few goes)

Sounds like you are already doing all the right things but there's a book called 'letting go' by Charlie Corke that talks about death planning. Read it a while back but I remember it had some really good practical advice and was not too heavy to read.

Edit. And hugs. This is tough stuff
